Blackburn Rovers
Founded: 1875
Ground: Ewood Park, Blackburn
Manager: Sam Allardyce
Blackburn Rovers glory days were way back when, near its formation in 1875. The club won 5 FA Cup’s and two league championships before entering a long title-less era. Unlike clubs such as Huddersfield Town, whose glory days are a dim and distant memory, Blackburn bounced back, thanks to one man. His name: Jack Walker. His Achievement: Within 5 years, Blackburn Rovers gained promotion from the old Second Division, finished Runners-up in 1994 and then won a thrilling Premier League Championship in 1995.
After a good couple of season, Blackburn lost Mark Hughes who was attracted by the huge budget of Manchester City, and if this wasn't enough, it seems that only something special will allow Rovers to keep the services David Bentley and Brad Friedel. No doubt - Big Sam has his work cut out for him.
Bottom Line: Blackburn are going to have a hell of a battle to survive, but Big Sam is the best when it comes to this.
